Or maybe that’s the elites discouraging a revolution by calling it a civil war.

It’s taken me 4 decades to figure this out, and then this one dude summed it up clean:

    >Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit:

    >**There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.**

    >*There is nothing more or else to it, and there never has been, in any place or time.*

    >For millenia, conservatism had no name, because no other model of polity had ever been proposed. “The king can do no wrong.” In practice, this immunity was always extended to the king’s friends, however fungible a group they might have been. Today, we still have the king’s friends even where there is no king (dictator, etc.). Another way to look at this is that the king is a faction, rather than an individual.

    >As the core proposition of conservatism is indefensible if stated baldly, it has always been surrounded by an elaborate backwash of pseudophilosophy, amounting over time to millions of pages. All such is axiomatically dishonest and undeserving of serious scrutiny. Today, the accelerating de-education of humanity has reached a point where the market for pseudophilosophy is vanishing; it is, as The Kids Say These Days, tl;dr . All that is left is the core proposition itself — backed up, no longer by misdirection and sophistry, but by violence.

    >*So this tells us what anti-conservatism must be: the proposition that the law cannot protect anyone unless it binds everyone, and cannot bind anyone unless it protects everyone.*

  3. Don’t worry Jack Dorsy made an App for protestors. First the sew discord on their social media apps. Then they sell your information to the government. Then they buy the government. They turn the government on you. Then they sell you the means to defend yourself.

    No matter what happens.

  4. All revolutions end up being a bit of a civil war.

There were plenty of people who had been living in the colonies for generations that considered themselves British subjects more than Americans and fought against the American revolutionary army.

  5. Republicans desperately wants a Civil War.

They realize the American population is heavily armed, and they will never survive creating a full fascist dictatorship if the people are fighting against them.

So instead, they want the public pointing those guns that want another instead of those who are looting the country.

  6. You all love saying this shit, over and over again. “It’s not left versus right, it’s top versus bottom.” You’ll never get to fight the top because we’re stuck in a prisoner’s dilemma where the right insists on rat fucking the left instead of ever cooperating.

You don’t get to have the revolution without the civil war.

  7. Do they think there will be battle lines and formations? The oligarchs have power, but not numbers.

  8. In the late 1700s, Louis XVI failed to see the risks of his lavish lifestyle in the face of his people’s suffering.

A little over 200 years later, Tsar Nicholas II failed in the same way.

Today, the oligarchs blithely fly around on their private jets and complain about the world they are ruining, as blind to the building fury as Louis XVI and Nicholas II.

  9. Bigots choosing civil war over.. /checks notes ..”letting trans people exist”.

I hear the class warcry, but *know* it is because a bunch of fools realized they fked up / can’t ride the fascist grift any longer / refuse to admit they were wrong.

Some yeehaws better get real comfortable with socialism or they can stfu.

  10. Yup, changing the target from class war to ideology war was heavily financed by them. They won, for now. The bunkers are being built while they’re making money from the grifting of this whole fucking mess.

Protesting is masturbation, it might feel good but it accomplishes nothing.

For over a century the long game has been to destroy class consciousness. Every racial, sexual, gender divide plays into it. All the opportunities to build our identity on these divisions, to segregate ourselves into in-groups does nothing but distract from the only one that matters, power.

We’ve been conditioned to abhor violence but accept systemic violence done to us.
