Kosovo Police have carried out the extradition from Italy to Kosovo of a Kosovo citizen wanted by an international arrest warrant for criminal offenses.

According to the official announcement, on 28.01.2026, the extradition of the Kosovar citizen FV was carried out from Italy to Kosovo, in coordination with the Directorate for International Police Cooperation – ILECU with other relevant units of the Kosovo Police and justice institutions.

“The suspect was arrested by Italian authorities, as he was wanted by an international arrest warrant issued by Kosovo justice institutions, for the criminal offenses of ‘forgery of documents’ and ‘legalization of false content’,” the announcement states.

It is also known that he had evaded justice.

Kosovo Police emphasizes that the extradition was carried out thanks to cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and those of Italy.

Upon arrival in Kosovo, “the suspect, after extradition, was handed over to the relevant Police units for further legal procedures.”

Finally, the Kosovo Police underlines that the Directorate for International Police Cooperation will continue to exchange information with local institutions, states and international organizations, with the aim of preventing, investigating and detecting criminal activities, including tracking and arresting wanted persons inside and outside the country. /Telegrafi/
