Shakira confirmed that her “Las mujeres ya no lloran” World Tour will arrive in Japan in 2026, expanding the international reach of one of the most successful tours of her career. The announcement, made through her social media, marks the Colombian artist’s return to Asia after several years without performing in the region and reflects the strong connection she has recently built with Japanese audiences.

The decision to include Japan in the tour route was driven by the great reception of her song “Zoo” in the country, a track that gained popularity among new listeners and strengthened her presence in the Asian market. Added to this is her international visibility through her involvement in Disney’s Zootopia universe, where she voices the character Gazelle — a role that has increased her recognition among audiences of different generations.

Japan, the new Asian hub of Shakira’s ‘Las mujeres ya no lloran’ world tour

The first cities confirmed for this stage are Tokyo and Osaka, two of Japan’s main cultural and entertainment centers. Although not all exact dates have been announced yet, concert details are expected to be officially released in the coming days as part of the Asian leg of the tour.

Japan is emerging as a strategic stop on the tour, both because of its strong music consumption and the cultural connection Shakira has achieved there. The phenomenon surrounding “Zoo” — which has become a worldwide trend and surpassed 100 million streams — along with her ties to globally recognized animation projects, has helped her music reach new audiences beyond her long-established fan base in the Americas and Europe.

For the live music industry, Japan’s inclusion represents a significant move, confirming Shakira’s ability to draw crowds in diverse markets and adapt to different cultural contexts without losing her artistic identity.

Temporary break and tour resumption with new dates

The singer is currently on a brief break from the tour after a run across the Americas that in 2025 achieved record-breaking revenue and attendance figures. The tour will resume on Feb. 7, 2026, with an intense schedule of shows across Latin America and other territories.

The confirmed calendar includes five dates in San Salvador, El Salvador, all at Estadio Magico Gonzalez: Feb. 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15. She will then perform in Mexico with three concerts: Feb. 21 at Estadio Victor Manuel Reyna in Tuxtla, Feb. 24 at Estadio Carlos Iturralde in Merida, and Feb. 27 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City.

The international route also includes her participation on April 4 at the Offlimits Music Festival in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, highlighting the global scope of the tour. The upcoming Japanese leg will soon be added to this itinerary, further expanding the map of performances.
