Stefanos Tsitsipas has been named for Team Greece in the upcoming Davis Cup World Group I & World Group II Play-offs set to take place from 6-8 February.

The former world number three is among the team that will represent Greece in the Davis Cup Qualifiers 1st Round, alongside Stefanos Sakellaridis, Ioannis Xilas, Dimitris Azoidis, and Ioannis Kountourakis.

The Greek tennis star will lead the team in their tie against Mexico in Athens.

Should Greece win, they will join the other winning teams from the World Group I Play-offs in the Qualifiers First Round.

If Greece loses, they will play a World Group II tie against one of the winning countries from World Group II.

In the Qualifiers First Round, the 13 winning nations will advance to the Qualifiers Second Round (18-20 September), where they will join 2025 runners-up Spain.

In the Qualifiers Second Round, 14 nations will compete for a place in the Final 8 (24-29 November), where they join world champions Italy. The seven losing nations will compete in the 2027 Qualifiers 1st Round.
