RICHMOND, Va. (Jan. 30, 2026) – Down to the wire battles made up an exciting night of hoops around the CAA. 
 
Towson 59, N.C. A&T 57

Towson held on to a lead established in the first half to defeat N.C. A&T 59-57. Carrying a 16-14 lead into the second quarter, the Tigers came out firing. Viki Matulevicius drove to the lane to put the ball in the cup before a Hannah Dereje layup. Zoli Khalil scored the next four points for Towson as part of an 8-2 run through two and a half minutes. A&T remained within striking distance and almost flipped the script in the fourth. With 6:27 on the clock, D’Mya Tucker drilled a jumper before two free throws from Paris Locke made it 50-47 Towson. The Tigers instantly responded through India Johnston, before another 8-2 run late in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach for the Aggies. Johnston continued her conference-play dominance with 19 points while Tucker had 18 for A&T.
 
 
Charleston 77, Elon 69

Charleston was clutch from the free-throw line late in the game to defeat Elon 77-69. Trailing by 10 with four minutes left, Elon produced an 8-0 run to make the score 68-66. For the remainder of the game, Charleston didn’t make a single field goal, solely scoring from the charity stripe. Marissa Brown knocked down the first before Taryn Babrot drilled four straight to put the Cougars back up by seven. Ashlee Shaw found the ball in her hands with 44 seconds remaining, converting an and-one layup, but the Charleston once again found itself at the charity stripe with Barbot and Tyja Beans going a perfect 2-for-2 to seal the victory. Barbot paced the game with 25 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in the Cougars’ 10th-straight victory. Laila Anderson once again led Elon with 19 points.
 
 
Stony Brook 52, Hofstra 49

Stony Brook held Hofstra scoreless for the final five and a half minutes of the fourth quarter to overturn a 4-point deficit and defeat the Pride 52-49. After a Diaka Berete 3-pointer in the fourth quarter, Hofstra’s Ema Karim and Sandra Magolico produced a 5-0 run to regain the Pride’s 49-45 lead heading into the final media timeout. Almost three scoreless minutes between both teams later, Johanna Potter found herself at the charity stripe, going 1-for-2. Janay Brantley willed her team back into the lead, converting two straight driving layups with a minute on the clock. After Sandra Frau-Garcia knocked down a free throw to make it 51-49 with 32 seconds remaining, Hofstra went searching for a trey but was fruitless in its efforts. Frau-Garcia and Caitlin Frost each had 10 for the Seawolves. Micaela Carter’s 18 points for Hofstra were a game high.
 
Drexel 56, Monmouth 53

Knotted at 50 with two minutes to go, Drexel came out on top to defeat Monmouth 56-53. Heading into the fourth, the Hawks trailed by seven, but a 10-2 run quickly erased that. Jula Garcia Roig pulled the Dragons ahead 52-51 on the next possession, but Gigi Gamble immediately went the other way to shift the momentum back to the Hawks. After scoreless possessions for both teams, Amaris Baker found herself at the charity stripe. The Preseason All-CAA guard went 2-for-2 to push Drexel ahead 54-53, before Molly Rullo closed out the game with a perfect trip to the line to close out the game. Baker’s 18 points paced Drexel, while Gamble had a team-high 16.
 
 
Campbell 63, William & Mary 54

Despite a late offense-explosion from William & Mary, Campbell stayed composed to win 63-54. The Camels were dominant early, leading by as many as 11 late in the third. Jasmine Felton got the fourth-quarter scoring going for Campbell,  but the Tribe pieced together a 14-0 run over the next five minutes to take a 54-51 lead. Olivia Tucker stopped the stretch with a 3-pointer to tie the game for Campbell before Jasmine Felton scored the next three points to retake the lead. The game was ultimately put out of reach thanks to Gianni Boone’s layup with a little over two minutes to go, as Campbell went on to go 4-for-6  from the free throw line and hold William & Mary scoreless for the remainder of the game. Tucker’s 16 points were a game high, while Cassidy Geddes had 15 to her name for the Tribe.
 
 
Hampton 60, UNCW 48

Hampton held on to an early lead to defeat UNCW 60-48. The Pirates produced an impressive 21 first-quarter points to take a lead it never relinquished. Aisha Dabo had the hot hand, scoring 10 points in the frame with all but two falling in the first three minutes. Forty-eight seconds in, Dabo picked up the ball and drilled a jumper. After Rori Cox tied the game up, it was déjà vu for Dabo, who knocked down another jumper to steal the lead for the remainder of the game. Hampton was strong defensively in the matchup, forcing 25 turnovers and scoring 24 points as a result. Dabo finished with 16 points while Cox had 13.
