This sub is way better than the subs of Turkiye. I have been observing this sub for a long time and I think overall the participation and voting is somewhat healthy. Way better than many other regional subs. Most of them very very (did I say very?) toxic.

People express their opinions and show reactions mostly in a mature way. A*sholes holes everywhere but this sub looks like somewhat mature – over average.

I don’t know if most people are in Azerbaijan or abroad but the command of English language is impeccable mostly. Respect and friendliness towards Turkish is positive. No visible aggressiveness towards Armenians or minorities within the country.

There are pro alivey posts and comments but in no way people mob each other. It is pretty impressive.

It has been a long time I wanted to say these things…

Hahahaha, this is the most fantastic fantasy I’ve ever seen.

First of all, the EU and Aliyev have a very good relationship. EU officials don’t care about the Azerbaijani democrats in prison, just as they don’t care about the Armenians in Karabakh.

Secondly, the most important function of any government is to maintain order, whether that order is democratic or dictatorial. Aliyev has proven his ability to maintain order, both in the past and the present. Therefore, no matter how many Azerbaijanis he throws into prison, other governments, even those hostile to Azerbaijan, will still recognize him as the sole legitimate ruler of Azerbaijan.

Finally, if an Azerbaijani democrat refuses help from Western activists because of his aversion to foreign aid, it only proves two things: first, his intelligence is below 60, and second, he deserves to be imprisoned by Aliyev. Aliyev, who controls the entire country, never refuses help from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, but some dignified and noble Azerbaijani nationalist democratic activists, who don’t even possess a single gun, actually refuse foreign aid for the sake of so-called independence and self-reliance. Even if Azerbaijan becomes a democracy one day, people with such low intelligence should be permanently banned from entering the government.

    I’m the 2 type.
Because they’re annoying AF with their pseudo-morality. Whenever democracy and freedom rise in Azerbaijan, it should not be connected to Westoids. Look up posts about Azerbaijan on r/europe and you’ll see some of the most bigoted morons you can imagine.
Europe (and the US, obviously) never really gaf about human rights or corruption. Oh, they definitely don’t know that the billions held in european banks by dictators and corrupt officials from all over the world are stolen from their ordinary people🫣

Unfortunately, we, Azerbaijani are easily manipulated. Throughout history, our population have not had so many opportunities to see what is the reality and what is the fake. First Soviet Union, then authoritarian regime do not let individuals to have their own opinions, to ask a question, to understand, to explore, but rather follow the herd and the rules like a sheep.

People who claiming we are suffering economically nowadays bc of Qarabag wars, are exactly this type of individuals, never ask questions, never know why, just keep repeating same sentences like damn parrot.

Azerbaijan would suffer as much as current one, without wars in Qarabag. The reasons is country’s economy is built on basic, half Soviet half hard capitalist style economy and even Monopoly has more complex rules and understanding.

Those EU guys will do everything to fund your islamists and dictators and they will even bomb you so that your nation neither suffers from hunger nor properly develops into a modern country. They did this thing to Turkey, Greece and to many others. They call Erdogan a dictator while knowing they can topple him in 2 days if all EU imposes embargo on Turkey but no, bribing your country’s officials is x100 more profitable than actually helping them according to those “EU” fanboys.
