  1. It’s interesting that Tibet, Xinjiang, Mongolia, and Siberia are all sparsely populated in the middle but have density along their margins at the transitions with these populated belts.

  2. 1 person per km2 as far as I think means that you can walk 20 minutes any direction and still not see a soul. Honestly bless the blank parts of this map for staying blank

  3. Gosh I wish central Europe was a bit less densely populated. Imagine if we had vast BLM lands like in the US. You’ll sadly only find that in the scandinavian countries 🙁

    This is a really misleading map since they’ve used different density resolutions for different countries. It says nothing.
