      It’ll survive just fine.  The popularity, such as it was,  of the Crown Princess will not.

      Hope not. Both Martha and the cuckprince need to abdicate/renounce and we remove the royalty for good.

      I think for it to survive with any semblance of legitimacy it needs to be separated from the Crown Princess and her devil firstborn, like, for good. But if she’s still linked to the RF and the people don’t do anything about it, well…it would be disheartening.

      Of course, she’ll always be the mother of the next monarch but at least she needs to step down from all her duties and benefits.

      What’s the general view of republic Vs monarchy in Norway these days? I read about the vile son last year so are these scandals having an effect?

      It remains to be seen with the vote on tuesday regarding the monarchy at the Storting. I’m sure public support for the monarchy has taken a massive hit; just some years ago it had around 80% support, and I’m sure it has plummeted after Märtha-Durek, Marius Borg Høiby and now Mette Marit scandals, but I’m not sure whether it has dropped below 50%. But for sure the legitimacy of the monarchy has also taken a massive hit. To save not his ass but also his reputation of being a weak cuckold the best thing Haakon could do now would be to divorce Mette Marit, but he really seems to love her, and guaranteed he has known about all this. Norwegians as a people generally don’t like change very much, and we are quick to forget, and it takes a lot for us to go out and protest in large numbers for things to make a difference. We are the opposite of the French in that regard. But still, nothing about it will probably happen without a public referendum on the monarchy.

      It will sadly survive without any scratches. The rapist gonna get of easy. Mis angle wisperer and durek (tho not part of the family) will recover financially. But they wont save their reputation. The king gonna recover his reputation in the older generations and the prince gonna recover reputation in the older generation while his kids wont. The problem is that there is no acceptable candidate to take over the crown. We need to remove the monarchy

      Mette-Marit and her son have exhibited a very poor understanding of their position, such as it is. Makes one wonder if the global royal institution has met its Waterloo and should be abandoned everywhere. What good do they do for the people or what is the use of them in the year of 2026.
