Has anyone been? I really wanted to go. I had the pass that was cancelled and it was a good deal then. I've been away in Sydney and Adelaide for a while over the christmas and new year period, haven't kept track and didn't realize they closed. You can still see the old Monopoly Dreams artwork that is left.

  1. I went with the kids during school hols a year ago or so. Expensive for what it was..a lot of the games/equipment was in disrepair .. yeah you didn’t miss much tbh

  2. walked past it a few times and absolutely nothing from the outside showed you what you would expect when actually going there. i guess it was just trading off peoples love of the brand…. monopoly?

  3. I went exactly once and never felt the need to go back.

There’s not a lot in it. A few games based on some of the concepts in monopoly, the history of monopoly- but not enough museum to be interesting on its own.

  4. I walked past this place pretty frequently when I’m working. Never figured out what it was even meant to be, aside from the sort of sad looking cafe part.

It’s been closed for a while now. Since early Jan. Always wondered who would actually go to this sort of thing

  6. I was always curious and planned to go, but never sure what there was to do there, so kept putting it off – guess I wasn’t alone!

  7. I went with my parents last time they came down from qld for the weekend and I really didn’t know what to expect so I kept expectations low and it basically hit a par.

  8. They blamed crime and protests LOL, nah mate you guys were just shit with money, by that logic the rest of MC and Emporium should also be struggling

It was reported previously The Monopoly Dreams Melbourne theme park is in administration, with its landlord, customers, staff and businesses claiming they are owed $61.7m in estimated debts.

  10. Yeah it wasn’t great.. many of the games were effectively phone games played on a Samsung fridge screen.
Prizes are impossibly difficult to earn.
The only interesting part for me was the museum of past monopoly boards but even that was only a walk through corridor into the main experience. Wasn’t worth the price.

Apparently their investor pulled out so they went under
