Does he want a golden fucking medal for taking off the screw-us-tariff-tax *that he put on us?*

  2. Asking because I have no idea. Are any of the deals written and signed anywhere? With any mechanism of enforcement or tracking?

  3. I’m assuming it’ll be the exact same “deal,” but worse, that was in place before he took office?

  4. Well played. What a reversal. India played it’s cards well. Was cornered last year. Then signed deals with UK, Australia, Oman, UAE, New Zealand, European Free Trade Association then EU. Made peace with China, reinvigorated BRICS and Non alignment. Step by step. Humbled the Americans.

An obvious panic agreement as many other countries are shifting trade from the u.s. to India

  6. -EU announces a massive free trade deal with India.

TRUMP: “NUH UH! WE MADE A BIGGER AND BETTER DEAL! SOME MIGHT SAY THE BEST DEAL IN ALL OF EXISTANCE! PRESIDENT INDIA, WITH TEARS IN HIS EYES, TOLD ME IT’S THE BEST DEAL HE COULD EVER DREAM OF!”

    (Edit, EU, not UK)

  7. nothing mentioned about tariffs due to the purchase of russian oil. so i think it’s 25+18 instead of 25+25. also i’ll wait for confirmation from the indian side as well. because trump is claiming that india has agreed to reduce the tariffs to “zero”. not so sure about that

  8. So I remember seeing interviews where the Indian side said the deal was already done in February, and Trump at first wasn’t satisfied, and later wanted to use tariffs as pressure for the nobel prize bs. And even towards the late 2025 they brought it up again, but he refused. Basically, no terms have changed since the deal from February. Let’s see what victory he claims when it’s done.

  9. Agriculture? I doubt the Indian govt would have opened up that sector. Anyhow, I’ll wait till the MEA puts out a statement. Even if they don’t, the Budget Session of the Parliament is going on now. The opposition parties would expect/pressure the govt ministers to speak up on this. Tomorrow is gonna be a fun day.

  10. Two things, i don’t think we will buy 500 billion dollars worth of stuff… That’s like 1/8th of our entire economy. 500 is just one of those arbitrary numbers that popped into his head

Two, zero percent tariffs on all American products? Like hell we will lol…. Never opening that agri and dairy markets

  11. Until 2 weeks from now, when they will get 300% because of something that an Indian politician tweeted.

  12. Sounds desperate to me. He sees India getting all these trade deals all of a sudden and wants to feel like he’s included.

  13. Let me guess…is it the same trade deal that was in place before the orange turd came along?

  14. The US ranks low on global reputation & quality-of-life lists (often 20th–48th) despite its power. Top spots go to Switzerland, Canada, Nordics, Netherlands. Main reasons: weaker safety, healthcare access, inequality, trust in institutions, work-life balance, and recent drops in perceived global leadership.

  15. Don’t believe what he says. See what he is doing with Korea. Today he likes Indian.

Wait till India’s MEA disclose what has been agreed. Even then it’s not guaranteed because it’s Trump promise. 😁

Any deal with trumpanzee is not worth the paper it’s written on. Ask Korea and Canada how that’s working out for them.

  17. So let me get this straight –

    1) India buys oil from Venezuela and sells refined products to other countries.

    2) USA sanctions venezuelan oil.

    3) India stops buying from Venezuela in 2025 and starts buying more oil from Russia and the whole world starts blaming India for funding the war.

    4) USA sanctions India for buying Russian oil.

    5) USA takes over venezuelan oil production and signs deal with India to make them buy venezuelan oil instead of Russian oil which they actually used to in 2024 before sanctions.

What a fucking merry go round.

  18. Timely_Choice_4525 on

Umm, yeah, he’s done this before. He can claim a deal’s been made all he wants but until it’s signed by both countries it’s just more of his hot air. Kind of like all the wars (eight?) he’s ended.

  19. So, the US will confiscate Venezuela’s oil and sell it cheap to India? The proceeds will be divided 50:50 between Trump Organization and Venezuela? /s

  20. Even if it’s signed and everyone agrees, some idiot will tell dummy #1 he was fleeced and he will renege like always. You cant trust this admin even on signed deals.

A veritable kaleidoscope of tariffs and deals. Don’t like the situation your country is in? Wait. Shake it up. Look again. See! Trump has changed his mind! It’s all new again!

  22. India is not calling this a trade deal.

Modi just thanked orange man for the tarrif reduction. Happy to be corrected but no official Indian gov comms has called this a trade deal yet.
