Vodafone Romania has announced the appointment of Alex Baloi as director of the Vodafone Business division, effective January 2026. Baloi returns to Vodafone from his role as CEO of M247 Global, where he defined the company’s strategic direction by strengthening operational performance and driving accelerated global growth.

Previously, he coordinated Microsoft’s strategic partnerships in Central Europe, playing a significant role in large-scale technology adoption initiatives for both the private sector and public institutions.

With more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications, technology, and digital transformation, Baloi has held several leadership roles within Vodafone Romania, across both the Consumer and Business segments. His most recent position within the company was director of the Small and Medium Business division between 2019 and 2022, where he led the development strategy for the B2B portfolio and digital solutions for SMEs.

“We are very pleased to welcome Alex back. His leadership, accumulated expertise, and ability to lead complex, high-impact initiatives will strengthen Vodafone Business’s position as a trusted partner for companies and institutions. I am confident that Alex will accelerate innovation so that we can continue to support the digital transformation of Romania’s business environment,” said Nedim Baytorun, CEO of Vodafone Romania.

Baloi succeeds Dinu Dragomir, who will focus on the integration of Vodafone and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications, following the acquisition completed in October last year. Dragomir joined Vodafone Romania in 2005 and held several strategic roles. Under his leadership, the Business division positioned the company as a leader in integrated technology solutions.

“Returning to Vodafone is an important moment for me, both professionally and personally. I had the opportunity to grow within a company with extraordinary innovation potential and a strong digital vision for the business environment, the engine of Romania’s growth. I am excited to continue this mission at a time of profound industry transformation,” said Baloi.

The appointment comes as Vodafone Business continues to strengthen its role as an ICT integrator on the local market, with a focus on IoT solutions, data centre services, cybersecurity, cloud, and advanced digital infrastructure.
