Poland made 12 3-pointers, including seven during a 31-point fourth quarter as it closed out its boys basketball regular season Wednesday with a 76-51 win over visiting Freeport.

Jake Jamo led Poland (12-6) with 18 points. He was joined in double figures by Alex Mains (16), Landon Cooper (12), Damon Martin (12) and Nick Jamo (11). The Knights will likely be the sixth seed in the Class B South playoffs.

Gage Gayton sank four 3-pointers and scored 14 points for Freeport (5-13).

MARANACOOK 70, WINTHROP 46: Gage Mattson put up 21 points and Jack Fontaine added 18 as the Black Bears (14-4) wrapped up the regular season with a victory over the Ramblers (3-15) in Winthrop.

Elijah Freeman chipped in 10 points and Brennan Boyd hit three 3-pointers and had nine points for Maranacook, which will be the second or third seed in the Class C South playoffs.

Graham Huri scored a game-high 23 points for Winthrop.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

LEAVITT 53, MEDOMAK VALLEY 31: Jordyn Boulay and Gabby Smith both scored 16 points as the Hornets (8-9) defeated the Panthers (7-10) in a game that finished Wednesday after a power outage Tuesday night in Turner.

Smith also grabbed 11 rebounds, and Boulay had seven steals.

Alyssa Smith led Medomak with nine points.
