Hi everyone! Today, 6 February 2026, the adventure of the Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina officially begins with the opening ceremony. The event takes place mainly at the San Siro Stadium in Milan (renamed the San Siro Olympic Stadium), with connections also from Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Time: The ceremony begins at 8pm, with live coverage starting at 7.50pm.
Where to see it:
- Free and clear on Rai 1, RaiNews.it and RaiPlay (commentary by Auro Bulbarelli and Fabio Genovesi).
- On pay TV: Eurosport 1 and 2, available on DAZN, Amazon Prime Video Channels and Discovery+.
We can expect a parade of national delegations, the lighting of the Olympic brazier and performances with artists such as Mariah Carey (who will sing "In the blue painted blue" by Domenico Modugno) and Ghali. A global audience of approximately 2 billion viewers is expected!

Unbiased opinion gli italiani vinceranno tutte le competizioni
Ho ancora impresse certe immagini “bizzarre” di Parigi 2024. Almeno a sto giro niente barche sulla Senna.
Ma Mariah Carey sà l’italiano?
Da un lato dovrebbe durare tre ore secondo le stime, quindi l’asciughiamo più velocemente di Parigi, dall’altro dura comunque tre ore dioccá e non c’è la Senna a rallentare tutto, ho paura~
Non potrà essere peggio di quella di Parigi… vero?
