My foot fell within millimetres of this beauty at Lamington today. Despite our mutual surprise we both amicably went out separate ways. What did I encounter?
Though could be a tiger snake too. Hard to tell. Best to ask on that page

Tiger snake. Lamington National Park is one of the few places they can be found in QLD.

Calm tiger is calmly moving away. No cobra neck = calm.

Did you measure its neck length?

You encountered one hell of a nope rope! A tiger snake.
Highly venemous, luckily, *usually* non-aggressive. Such as today for you. They are known to be one of the most agile snakes there is, to the best of my knowledge.
*IF* you manage to REALLY piss one off, good luck! They have a big strike range and recoil. But they are a cool snake to see!
