Greece was bailed out and kept afloat by EU correct?

There’s a “neutral” option that isn’t shown on this map I seen on another sub for some reason. So this isn’t just a good vs bad question. Misleading tbh as many people looking at this map will just be like for example “oh 58% of Czechs think it’s a bad thing” when really it’s like 40% neutral or something and less than 20% bad.

So Greece, Romania and Bulgaria borrow and benefit from the EU the most but still hate it?

The EU is a good idea but it should be reformed

Where did they ask the people of the Netherlands? 81% I really don’t believe!! Maybe 50/55% max, most people say that we pay way to much money for Europe

I’m a bit surprised that Euroscepticism is so high in France

The countries that benefited the most from the EU have the lowest approval ratings… apart from France but France hates everything.

The funniest part is if they kicked out all the countries with less than 50% approval nothing would be lost

What the Czech are so upset about?

It’s not even an extreme percentage but “only” 57% in Poland probably weirds me out the most. It’s seen a stellar rise in the last 35 years and it’s mostly due to massive EU funding and integration into supply chains of the German industry. Somehow I would have expected a much higher approval rating…

Not sure what’s the reason but at least in case of Poland I often see huge differences between that Eurobarometer and local surveys. I was very surprised about 57% and checked local data, the support for membership seems to be about 77% but the answer “if membership brings more benefits than costs” was 59% with 15% “neutral”. The data is from 2024 but it’s quite excessive and reliable, as opposed to the small opinion polls. It’s not changing dramatically, in the past there were surveys with up to 90% support for membership.

Wow, so only half of France thinks the EU is any good. This is where the UK was a couple of years before Brexit.

The right qüestion would be if you would vote yes to leave the EU.

It would be funny to compare with education ratio in each country.
