During the third quarter of the Super Bowl, millions of viewers will “witness a deeply personal story,” according to Hartford Healthcare.

The health system said the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute’s Super Bowl LX Ad “brings to life the patient journey, marking [a] historic first in cancer care.”

The ad will show “one woman’s journey through cancer, from fear and uncertainty to hope and healing,” according to Hartford Healthcare. “The new local television spot reflects the lived experience of patients and families navigating cancer care and the power of having world-class expertise close to home.”

 

The story also “mirrors a defining moment in cancer care,” according to Hartford Healthcare, as, when “facing a cancer diagnosis, perseverance and hope are one’s greatest allies, sometimes the only things that feel steady through uncertain times.”

“It was important for us to authentically reflect that deeply personal journey, the waiting, the quiet resilience, and ultimately, the hope that new memories are still waiting to be experienced,” said Taryn Pemberton, vice president, or marketing and communications, and a two-time cancer survivor.

The ad uses a “a custom-written poem woven throughout the story,” and Hartford HealthCare “invites viewers to walk alongside this family, to feel what they feel, and to be reminded that hope is powerful.”

“It’s a reflection of the care, compassion, and clinical excellence that surround our Connecticut communities every day, here at Hartford HealthCare,” Pemberton said.
