Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Dr. Badr Abdelatty, participated in a working lunch with Dr. Robert Golub, Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, on the sidelines of his visit to the capital, Ljubljana.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Safadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and  Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi discuss key regional and international issues, and the Palestinian cause.

Dr. Badr Abdelatty expressed his appreciation for Slovenia’s supportive stance on the Palestinian cause, including its recognition of the State of Palestine, its vote in favor of relevant UN resolutions, and its support for efforts to achieve a ceasefire and end the war in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Badr Abdelatty reviewed Egypt’s efforts since the outbreak of the war to achieve a ceasefire, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, and prevent the displacement of Palestinians, welcoming the US President’s plan to end the war.

The Foreign Minister Abdelatty noted Egypt’s welcome of the commencement of the second phase of the peace plan, including the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, stressing the need to empower the Committee to carry out its duties within the Gaza Strip.

Badr Abdelatty also affirmed Egypt’s support for the deployment of an international stabilization force to monitor adherence to the ceasefire, as well as ensuring the unhindered flow of aid, expediting early recovery and reconstruction, and supporting the training of the Palestinian police.

The Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty also emphasized the necessity of supporting the Palestinian Authority, warning of the dangerous situation in the West Bank, settlement expansion, and the need to reach a just and comprehensive settlement leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
