In the AKP era, where immorality, rancor, theft, corruption and treachery were at their peak, it is now normal for those who hold the bridge to profit!

Those who do not buy the book set worth 16 thousand Turkish liras in the preparatory class cannot enter the systems with QR codes and cannot do online homework and are automatically left behind. "new Türkiye" Welcome to!

Let me shake the conscience of everyone who contributed to the production and broadcast!

Should those who don’t buy the book be eliminated? – Murat Ağırel

* * *

In fact, the issue was not so much about the price of the book as the fact that they were forced to buy this book.

Part of the course, or even the 100 GPA, could not actually be achieved without purchasing expensive books.

The book fee is 16 thousand Turkish liras in total!

What happened if the books were not purchased?

Systems with QR codes could not be accessed, online assignments could not be done, and part of the semester grade was automatically lost.

In other words, if the book specified by the university was not taken, the grade evaluation automatically started with a 10 percent minus.

Since the exam was taken from the book, you almost had no chance of passing the course.

Noone “Those who do not buy books cannot attend class” Maybe he wasn’t saying. But the system worked like this: If you had money, full marks, otherwise incomplete marks.

This application did not remain only with CİMER. This time, the student went to the Ombudsman Institution, that is, the Ombudsman.

The report prepared was extremely clear: Universities can recommend books, but cannot make buying books mandatory.

More importantly, the report “If there is a difference in grades between students who cannot access books and those who can, this is inequality of opportunity in education.” It is said.

The report clearly states the following:

“Making high-priced course materials a factor affecting grading harms the right to education.”

So the point is “Is there commercial gain or not?” Not a debate.

The thing is; Will a student studying at a state university be evaluated according to his/her money? If he has money, will he pass his class?

This discussion is not limited to Yıldız Teknik.

A similar application includes Marmara University. Apparently, this opportunism has started to spread in schools. There, too, an application was made to CİMER through the School of Foreign Languages. The university responded with an official letter. What does the answer say?

“It was examined and necessary explanations were made.”

So, what’s in the answer? Books are also recommended at this university and are affected by 16 percent in grade evaluation. However, the university says: “We provide convenience for students who cannot buy books. We provide free books.”

Students state that this is not true. “Our resources are not unlimited, we cannot provide books to everyone.” They say they got the answer.

Is the problem solved?

No.

Because the answers given by universities generally focus on the same point:

“Not necessarily.”

In fact, it is mandatory because they are not allowed to skip classes.

But the reality experienced by the student is different. Even if it is not necessary, the consequences are compelling. Even if it is not mandatory, it is costly.

While a student’s monthly scholarship is obvious, book sets worth thousands of lira “pedagogical element” Imposition under the name looks innocent only on paper.

Now, everyone should ask themselves this: If a student studying at a state university loses grades because he cannot buy books, if he is considered unsuccessful because he loses grades, if his education period is prolonged because he is considered unsuccessful…

Is the problem here with the student or the system?

Look, the right to education is sacred, like life, like freedom… This is not a right measured by a shopping receipt.

Equality of opportunity cannot be achieved by saying, “We gave everyone the same list.” This is creating a caste system. It means confining the children of poor people to their own class.

Book today.

Platform tomorrow.

Exam access the next day. Will you divide the training into parts and sell subscriptions?

If this line is not drawn now, the difference between those who have money and those who do not have money in public universities will no longer be just a social practice, but an official practice.
