Industrial production in Slovenia fell 4.1% year-on-year in December 2025, worsening from a 1.8% decline in November and marking the steepest drop since June.

The contraction was broad-based across manufacturing, which fell 4.5% after a 1.5% decrease in the previous month, while output in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply continued to decline, albeit at a slower pace (-1.4% vs -6.9%).

At the same time, growth in mining and quarrying eased to 2.5% from 9.2%.

On a monthly basis, industrial activity fell 1.4%, accelerating from a 0.4% decline in November.

For the whole of 2025, industrial production was 1.8% lower than in the previous year.
