POMEROY, Ohio (WTAP) – Wolfe Mountain Entertainment will host a two-day haunted house event this weekend as an alternative to traditional Valentine’s Day activities.

Co-owners Bruce Wolfe and Dan Dunham said the “Bleeding Hearts Nightmare” event will run Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14.

The haunted house uses portions of their Halloween setup that remain intact.

“We wanted to do something different, and not everybody loves Valentine’s Day,” Wolfe said. “This is a unique thing.”

The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. both nights. Admission costs $5 per person per trip through the haunted house.

Event features instant photos and themed scares

Visitors will enter through the back of the building, with parking available in the rear lot and adjacent baseball field. The haunted house features a “blushing bride” character and other Valentine’s-themed scares.

Wolfe Mountain Entertainment added instant 4×6 photos this year for $5 each. The photos will be taken before guests enter the haunted house using a backdrop setup.

“I can almost guarantee you that it’ll bring you close together physically as you walk through,” Dunham said.

The co-owners said anyone in line by 8:30 p.m. will be admitted, even if the official hours have ended.

Information about the event is available on the Wolfe Mountain Entertainment LLC Facebook page and at wolfemountain.com.

The company also plans to present “A Wrinkle in Time” in mid-March.
