  1. Israel 4 times smaller (by population) and twice smaller by GDP have an army of 600 000. Just saying.

  2. I have 6 cousins (with me there are 7 cousins). Everyone except me is in the military. I am the only one in my family who did not join the military. This is so fucked up.

500 000 people who have their dreams and love and they want to turn them into meatbags to die for politicians business 🫠

  4. There are lines of young people currently to enlist on voluntary service because they can pay you up to 6000 zł after one month

Вы вполне можете в обмен на гражданство завербовать молодых украинских беженцев, которых у вас с избытком.

  6. Forced conscription 1980 and 1990s style is about to return. Probably in 2027 or 2028 after elections.

Together with Polish version of this:

Prepare for some “kręcenie wora” guys. And cleaning toilets with your toothbrush. You will fire like 5 bullets and learn nothing useful that can be used during war but who cares, right?

Obviously politicians and their families will be protected from forced conscription. Only poor ones will suffer.

    EDIT: source for non believers:

You can find more that they are considering conscription but feel free to ignore red flags

  7. It baffling that politicians are clueless why the population is getting smaller. Every normal person knows exactly why its shrinking.

  8. Pointless and dangerous. Why spend so much on an army instead of funding social services? To fight off a fascist invasion from abroad while the fascists in our own country are only fueled by increasing economic frustration?

  9. This makes me happy as a Brit. You guys are on the NATO frontline, so mass and readiness is important. Clearly the investment shows Russia is a long term threat. It’s a necessity for Poland and other countries such as Finland and Romania.

Obviously this comes at a huge financial cost, is this something people complain about or is it accepted?

My hope is the UK will continue to provide aerial and naval support and help bolster the baltics. But I don’t ever see the UK spending more than 3% on GDP like you guys do unless we are in active war.
