Recently I saw a reddit comment saying “Poland is the Japan of Europe”. And like with Japan, it only looks perfect if you don’t actually live there. Reality is often far more depressing anywhere really.

Western Conservatives think that Poland is a Christian version of Saudi Arabia, with a governmet that is a theocracy. Meanwhile in almost every neighborhood there is atleast one local homeless alcoholic.
