Dendias discusses defense ties with France and Bulgaria at NATO meeting

Defense Minister Nikos Dendias held bilateral talks with his French and Bulgarian counterparts, Catherine Vautrin and Atanas Zapryanov, on the sidelines of the NATO defense ministers’ meeting on Thursday. 

Discussions with Vautrin focused on the strategic defense relationship between Greece and France and the renewal of the Strategic Partnership Agreement on Cooperation in Defense and Security, originally signed by the two nations in 2021. Talks with Zapryanov addressed strengthening defense ties between Greece and Bulgaria.

Dendias also briefed NATO counterparts on the modernization of the Greek armed forces through the “Agenda 2030” program, the Greek Defense Innovation Center and the “Achilles Shield.” [AMNA]
