  1. What happened to airline crew not being able to take stuff from strangers for obvious reasons?

  2. I’m no aviation expert but it seems like bad policy to allow crew members to eat things handed to them by passengers.

  3. Guys, this has become a common ‘travel influencer’ video trope. A lot of these videos are on social media, if you just google “Giving candies / chocolates to flight crew”. I wouldn’t be surprised if this person saw one of these and was inspired to cause trouble

Ok, the headline really is a lot of click bait. The sweets were handed to the people AFTER THE PLANE LANDED and they in the terminal, on their way to the hotel. Yes, these people are a BA crew, but not doing anything work related at the time. This is a serious incident, but it’s not like they were in the air or doing ANY crew-related activities.

  5. Damn 300mg will fuck up even a seasoned cannabis user with a high tolerance, let alone people without any experience

damn, way to ruin it for everyone else. Giving the flight crew sweets is like #1 on the list of “how to get better service on your flight”

  7. I imagine they will find the guy, they literally know the exact flight he was on. The only issues might be if A: he handed the candy to them on the plane which might mean no camera footage and B: they might have all forgotten a lot of his specifics with the insane amount of weed he gave them.

I feel like there’s a decent chance one of them will remember his face and then its just going through only male pics of passengers on a flight under a certain age.

  8. What kind of moron thinks it’s a good idea to give an extremely strong marijuana edible to random people let alone a profession where they could lose their jobs if it appears on a drug test. Hope they catch the person and slap cuffs on them. At least BA seems to understand these crew members get an exemption on their next drug test.

Jail. You can’t drug people for the fun of it, particularly when there’s a risk they could lose their jobs for it.

This is no different to putting roofies in someone’s drink

  10. This has all the notes of tabloid exaggerations or propaganda , I’d take it with a big ass grain of thc if I was you guys.

” “Up to” 300mg ” (read: a 300mg total content packet of sweets, probably no one had more than 60-90mg, and if they know the total content… the pack was either labelled or they’re just listing the highest possible strength they think it *might* be)

    “Out of body experiences”

    “Deadly drugs”

300mg being consumed by someone who does not and cannot consume marajauna is crazy ive seen people go manual breathing mode on 25mg. They were going to space and that had to be rough. What is wrong with people?

300 mg is an absolutely insane amount of weed for a person with no tolerance to ingest, as flight attendants can’t use marijuana. It’s an insane amount for someone with a tolerance. I feel so bad for how those poor FAs must have been feeling.

Dude honestly I smoke occasionally and I went out and did an edible that was 100 g and dude I was so f***** up bro I was having dreams where I was traveling through time and my whole life was playing backwards in front of me and I was on the floor with my head in my hand cousin I said how many years has it been he said dude he’s been here 17 mins.

So dumb that I didn’t realize marijuana and edibles was totally different and just smoking

  14. 5mg is fun for me, 10mg will put me out to pasture, 20-30 will put me in the spins and throwing up. 300?!?!? Yea. Hospital please.

Also, I can totally taste it at 10mg. It does NOT taste good. I can’t imagine what 300 tastes like.

Bit suspicious that they didn’t eat them until they arrived at their destination.
Passenger offers you a lolly, you all accept and then ALL of you pocket said lolly to eat later?
Nah, he told them they were great THC gummies, the knew they couldn’t take them at work so saved them for later. Stupidly strong so it fucked them up. What do they tell BA that doesn’t get them fired? “Oh we didn’t know”

This is a bad look for those of us who partake but most of all dosing the flight crew? Are you kidding me? Beyond stupid

  17. This seems… suss? Like, extremely weird for a mystery passenger to travel internationally with drugs *just* to hand them off to unsuspecting flight attendants who would then consume them away from the passenger (so no entertainment factor as a motive). Like… smuggling drugs onto an international flight for a “prank” that you won’t even be around to watch? And a dose that’s closer to poisoning someone than just a cheeky prank. Also… you’d think it would be a short investigation. They’d know what cabin area the passenger would’ve been in and would have photos to narrow it down. Seems far more likely the flight attendants fucked up and took something much stronger than they should’ve and weren’t right to work (no idea what the drug testing regime would be like for BA) and cooked up a story to save their jobs. Flight attendants aren’t exactly renowned for being paragons of virtue, if my friends in the industry are anything to go by…

Every video I see a YouTuber give the crew candy, they ask where they are sitting and come over to thank them. I hope whoever worked that flight remembers which seat it was and can use the manifest to find the passenger.

Also, I assumed the rule would be to not consume anything provided by a passenger while in flight to protect against cases like this. They did the right thing by waiting till they landed in LA and got off work but I figured this is a company rule or at least should be.

  19. I Bought a 700 milligram gummy, ate around 400 milligrams for my flight to Hawaii, thought i’d sleep the whole way, nope! I was getting these electric jolts from gut down one leg, it was like every 15-30 seconds for what seemed like the entire flight. That was not a fun baking.

There’s no way BA doesn’t already have a policy against taking and eating anything from a passenger.

  21. Using an old custom of giving flight staff candy, to make the staff ill on purpose is really fucked up.
