    1. They only have 80 employees? I would have thought they have way more than that, or are they not counting the couriers in that figure?

    2. Someone needs to make a more ethical version of these apps.

The fundamental value they add for the consumer is the convenience of offering a unified directory, menus and ordering system.

A more ethical app could allow restaurants to use their own delivery couriers, charge a flat service charge per order (a few euros) to cover the costs of running the app and handling payments, and that’s it. It might not make the devs billionaires, but I believe it would be a sustainable business.

No exclusivity, no “independent contractor” couriers, no predatory pricing and no skimming off the top. Just an open marketplace for restaurants to offer delivery at the prices that make sense for them.

    3. Never used them so I think I’ll survive. Never used that other platform either. Don’t remember the name but you know

    4. Oh my. This means Finland now has only one food delivery app. This is not good for consumers, or Wolt drivers.

      Great news for Wolt though…

    5. I’m not sad to see them go at all; I think companies like these add no real value to the economy. They can be convenient for consumers, but so was pizza-online, and that kept delivery in the hands of restaurants rather than underpaid, exploited employees (or “independent contractors”). I hope someone brings it back.

Reminder that if you’ve used Foodora, you might have bonus points in your wallet which you can use to get a discount when you order from the same restaurant again. If the discount is greater than the cost of delivery, you might want to use it in the next couple of weeks, before it’s too late.

    6. Used them once or twice during that Hesburger campaign. Outside of that I only use Wolt with Wolt+ which is extremely cheap for what it offers. Cannot praise it enough really
