At first viewing I am not all that impressed. Why the ironic reference to Napoleon? What has Albanese done to deserve being compared (ironically) with him? I do not think it a well executed painting either. The colours are odd but not in a thought provoking way. Maybe I am just old and do not get the young people’s references. Either way, he should be congratulated on winning this award. Kudos.
