If someone told me in 2021 that the number of Canadians/Quebecers going to Florida would be so bad and low that ALL Canadian airlines would cancel that direct route … I would’ve called them nuts.

I’m curious if Canadian airlines could stop the bleeding by marketing Canadian tourism more aggressively to Americans.
I saw Costco in the US is offering one of their vacation packages for the Fairmont Banff Springs/Lake Louise. More of those offerings could boost their numbers, perhaps.

Their own citizen get detained and brutalized in their concentration camp without the possibility to prove their citizenship because they are stripped of their right to legal counsel and proper procedures. The fact that they did that to immigrant was already bad enough, and the bar was already very low, but they brought a shovel to dig deeper.
If they can do that to their own citizen, I don’t want to see what they would do with tourists.
So many other places in the world where I won’t be scared of being abducted by ICE, I’ll pick any of those for my next vacation.

Air Transat only has 1 destination in the US. This is a highly misleading post…. They only served Orlando and not have stopped

I can’t recall seeing a boycott have effects like this until now. You have to get people pretty upset before they will change their plans and lifestyles. Just goes to show how much the perception (and reality) of the US has degraded in just a single year. There’s more to come, I’m sure.

Canadians not showing up does not affect tourism in Palm Beach county as we have had an all time record for tourists in 25 and set records for the first part of 26….All Time Records…without Canadians. The numbers are there without no tipping bad driving people from the Great White North lol

This is non-news. My wife works for Air Transat. They are code sharing with Porter Airlines and Porter is taking over their US routes as it’s more profitable with their Embraer planes.
