And how many police officers ignored the reports, again

Perhaps the police need to put some more resources into protecting us rather than bashing us. Just an idea 🤷‍♂️

The early intervention avenues mentioned in the article is the answer, police should be doing proportional responses to initial concerns, not just dismissing it “sorry no crime has been committed”.

How many women have been assaulted or killed in that general area on hikes, and this is still the shitty police response??

Ok, and where is the description of this man? Or do we all need to find the original post / report? They mention several times “a man fitting the description “ and then give no description! It’s maddening being a woman

This is such a serious issue. I reported a serial flasher at warrandyte and the level of interest from most of the police was “can’t be bothered”. I had to push and push for it to be followed up, but it took 3 police reports before I was heard, they failed to follow up with witnesses, just told me to call 000 if I saw him again (literally had to put myself in danger to report him, and take video footage) and eventually only got a proper investigation because my pushing led to the involvement of a senior female sergeant. When it eventually went to court, it was thrown out because the prosecutor didn’t do their job properly.

Qld and the ACT have withdrawn police services for DV of women and children.
Despite the ever-increasing epidemic of murders, assaults, threats against women and children.
This is getting swept under the rug and of course MSM say nothing.
What’s happening here??

Astounding when police respond like this. The worst perpetrators start with smaller acts and when they learn they get away with it they escalate. Meanwhile women everywhere hear these stories and decide they have to be more careful, do less, be ever more vigilant, draining away their time, energy, freedom, momentum. It’s disgusting how little the safety of women really matters.
