The member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the Minister for Europe at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France, Benjamin Haddad.

Bećirović emphasized that state property reflects statehood, sovereignty and territorial integrity that belong exclusively to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, like all other members of the United Nations, must have all the prerogatives of an independent and sovereign state, including state property. One should not fall for the propaganda of the anti-Dayton and separatist forces. Everyone must understand that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the owner of state property, which means that it is also the holder of the ownership rights to all of that property. No solutions for state property can be in conflict with the final and binding decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the talks, current political and security issues were discussed, as well as the further strengthening of bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of France.

Bećirović said that Dodik and his associates are once again endangering the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina with their latest incendiary and chauvinistic moves. Such a destructive policy undermines the peace and stability of the entire region.

Bećirović thanked Minister Haddad for the continuous and principled support of the Republic of France, a witness of the Dayton-Paris Peace Agreement, to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized the strong support of the Republic of France for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as its active engagement in strengthening the country’s European and Euro-Atlantic perspective.

The member of the BiH Presidency confirmed the importance of continuing close cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of France within European and security mechanisms, including the contribution of the Republic of France to the EUFOR Althea mission, as well as its role in strengthening the common European security architecture.

Minister Haddad confirmed that the continuation of the open and substantive political dialogue between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of France is particularly important for the further strengthening of bilateral relations, and that the Republic of France remains a strong advocate of faster accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU, announced the Cabinet of BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović.
