In Wisconsin, Menominee County is practically identical to the Menominee Indian Reservation. It was formed by the state when the Menominees temporarily lost official federal recognition – later restored.

There is no way that Native Americans are 8% of the population of Northeast Alabama unless all the white people there falsely claim Cherokee ancestry.
