      edit: You can downvote mi to the Oblivion, I am the immigrant myself and I do not know any reasons to tolerate and pay for the people who are the actual criminals. Don’t want to live in a society according to the known rules? Do not want to integrate and adopt the culture? See ya. Simple as it is.

      Remember that in Swiss prisons, more than 40% of incarcerations are due to unpaid fines. Not violent crimes. Unpaid fines.

      Maybe Switzerland should rent some land in Albania and build a prison there. Cheaper and sufficient, especially for non-citizens.

      A loved one has done time in Switzerland and in the US.

      In Switzerland part of her rehabilitation was having a cat. In the American prison she picked up another addiction.
