The total number of tourists in North Macedonia during 2025 increased by 6.0% compared to the previous year, the State Statistical Office announced.
According to official data, the growth was driven mainly by foreign tourists, who recorded a 10.3% increase. In contrast, the number of domestic tourists decreased by 2.2%.
In terms of the number of overnight stays, a slight increase of 0.8% was recorded. Domestic tourist stays decreased by 4.1%, while those of foreign tourists increased by 6.4%.
Data for December 2025In December 2025, 36.7% of tourists were domestic, while 63.3% were foreign tourists.
The total number of overnight stays this month reached 112,001, of which 42.4% were made by domestic tourists and 57.6% by foreign tourists.
The data shows a growing trend of interest from international visitors, while the participation of domestic tourists continues to decline.
