So this just confirms that they wrote the laws to cover Herzog’s visit. How’s that sitting with everyone that we had our democracy upended for someone who inspired a genocide.

The reasoning given to extend them – “we need them to maintain social cohesion” – was always obvious bullshit. They were extended so that they could keep a lid on what would have otherwise been far larger protests against Herzog’s visit. This just confirms what we already knew.
