I think the UK should be excluded since yknow, the settlers would go on to form the US
Does the metric include population ethnic roots or starts after a certain year?

Diaspora is stretching it for Uk tbh, yeah if you include ppl going back to colonial times who have a drop of dna. In terms of British citizens living abroad the top country is Australia.

I’m pretty convinced it’s false for Romania, if you count EU countries in.

I thought China would have its largest diaspora in the US, do they have it somewhere else?

Anyone know where France or Italy’s biggest diaspora are?

For France, first is obviously Canada with the US close behind. Surprising to me, Argentina is 3rd with 8 million

If we count only people born abroad I think India, Central Europe, and Greece would change.

Egypt is wrong. Most of their diaspora is in Saudi Arabia.

How’d you define diaspora? What years are you referencing?

Suprised Japan isn’t in there but it may be Brazil if not.

I’m surprised that Laos is included, since they are basically Thailand’s “Canada”.

Why is Greenland (Denmark) not blue and Puerto Rico not yellow?

How is diaspora defined in this context? People with a certain nation’s passport living in the US, or US citizens who are aware that their grandmother immigrated from some country?

Biggest Ethiopian diaspora outside the country is in Washington DC. I’m pretty sure that’s true in terms of the country as well.

Puerto Rico is in the U.S so it should be yellow, but it’s largest diaspora would still be the rest of the U.S.

Slightly questionable. Are you truly a diaspora if you’ve settled and blended in for over 100 years?

I’m surprised Belarus is on that list. Where’s the big Belarus communities in the US?

They forgot Portugal. Lots of Portuguese in California, New England, and Hawaii.
