The WLEN coalition, in a press release, congratulated Kosovo on its anniversary of independence. WLEN says that Kosovo today celebrates the 18th anniversary of freedom won with blood and sacrifice.
“Kosovo today celebrates 18 years of freedom and statehood, won with the blood and sacrifice of its sons and daughters. On this anniversary, we cannot fail to remember the Kosovo Liberation Army and its leaders, who are being tried today in The Hague. We believe that their acquittal and their return to Kosovo is equivalent to the country’s independence day. They are part of our history, the fight for freedom and the foundation of the state of Kosovo.”
“Their release as soon as possible is not only an act of justice, but also a restoration of the dignity of the Albanian people. VLEN stands by Kosovo and its citizens, wishing that this anniversary brings more unity, strength and faith in the common future.
