Not pictured at a distance of 0 and an appearant magnitude of -27 : the sun.
Note that if you live in the city where there is usually a lot of light pollution, the cutoff for what you can see is quite a bit above the naked eye limit. Instead of seeing stars up to an apperant magnitude of 6 you can only see up to 4 or maybe even 2.
You won’t see most of the stars above the naked eye line unless you go out into the country or if there is a blackout.
Fun fact: The lone dot at a distance of less than 8 and an apperant magnitude of 13.5 is Wolf 359, where the federation fought the Borg.
so this chart doesn’t even cover the whole Milky Way?
