  1. Hard to know if these fusion races have any legitimate contenders, but this seems a big milestone, paving the way for actual progress. Could it really be commercially viable in the next 10 years?

  2. If they are extremely lucky, maybe the late 30s.

    As far as I know, they still haven’t solved the tritium problem (https://youtu.be/VHZMW0AmAKw). Until this is solved, commercial fusion energy will remain a “we’re almost there, but…” dream.
