US President Donald Trump has declared that he is ready to offer “guarantees” for relations between Kosovo and Serbia, during the first meeting of the Peace Board.

Speaking about efforts to prevent wars in the world, Trump addressed the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, with the words: “If you can’t do it, call me and we’ll solve it.”

“For example, Kosovo-Serbia, I’ve done this. Can you please stand up? Kosovo-Serbia. We appreciate you. And if you’re doing it, and if you’re not doing it, call me and we’ll work it out,” Trump told the audience.

At the same meeting, he described Iran as the most important current issue in American foreign policy, emphasizing that he hopes to reach an agreement with Tehran.

During the meeting, it was announced that Kosovo is among the first five states that have pledged to send peacekeeping troops as part of a joint international security force in the Gaza Strip.

President Osmani did not have the right to speak at this meeting, while the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, used the floor to request action from the US regarding the defendants being tried for war crimes in The Hague.

As part of the initiative for Gaza, it was also announced the allocation of several billion dollars to help rebuild the territory after the war, as part of international efforts for long-term stabilization and recovery.
