The cars shown by Belarusian propaganda can be used outside the context of Oreshnik, says the association of former security forces

There is currently no confirmed information that a launcher for the Russian intermediate-range ballistic missile Oreshnik has been deployed in Belarus. About this in the commentary LIGA.net for text said representatives of BelPol, an association of former Belarusian security forces.
At present, the organization cannot say that the Oreshnik launcher is located in Belarus.
“What the propaganda showed has nothing to do with Oreshnik. They showed machines that can be used outside the context of Oreshnik, so to speak,” BelPol added.
They noted that the satellite images that were made public also did not provide any specifics on the location of the missile system.
“And the boxes that are supposedly being built to store the launcher are atypically close to each other. This means that if one box is hit in any way – detonation from the inside, or some kind of damage from the outside – the other will be destroyed,” the organization emphasized.
BelPol does not see any soldiers and strategic missile troops being brought to Belarus from Russia. This may also generally indicate that the launcher is not directly there.
“There may be some movements of auxiliary equipment, there may be false installations brought from Russia, but we have not seen Oreshnik in Belarus yet,” the organization concluded.
- Lukashenka said that Oreshnik has been in Belarus since December 17, 2025, and has been on combat duty. Zelensky criticized the partners for the absence of sanctions against the missile manufacturers.
- On December 24, the president instructed the intelligence service to prepare answer options to deploy Oreshnik missile systems in Belarus.
- Reuters wrote that the missile system is likely to be deployed on former air base in eastern Belarus.
