In the early hours of Sunday, February 22, Poland scrambled fighter jets and activated air defense in response to Russia’s missile strikes on Ukraine, according to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

The country’s and its allies’ air forces will patrol the skies: another pair of fighter jets and early-warning aircraft were deployed. In addition, ground air-defense systems and radar capabilities have also been put on high alert.
