Authorities are making all-out efforts to contain a wildfire that broke out around 4:10 p.m. Monday in the town of Samnangjin in Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province.
No casualties have been reported so far.
Fire authorities activated a Level 1 wildfire response posture and have mobilized 21 helicopters, 20 pieces of equipment and 102 personnel to put out the flames.
Authorities estimate the wildfire has burned through 12 hectares of land.
City officials ordered residents of the affected areas to evacuate shortly after the fire broke out.
