In Turkey, misinformation from some media about alleged Ankara plans to invade Iran in the event of a U.S. strike on that country has been denied.
The Center for Combating Disinformation of the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications announced this on X.
“The claim in some media that ‘Turkey plans to invade Iran for security reasons in the event of a U.S. attack on Iran’ contains misinformation,” the post says.

Context and Turkey’s Position
The center emphasized that Turkey respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighboring countries and takes all necessary measures to ensure the security of its borders in both crisis situations and other circumstances.
It was also noted that such publications are an example of information manipulation, and official authorities do not confirm such plans.
