At 27, Diogo Soares is ready to open a new and important chapter in his career, leaving Europe to begin a new experience in the United States.

The young Portuguese coach recently completed a demanding mission at Valadares Gaia FC, where he was involved in restructuring the Pro Level during a period of institutional instability. After difficulties linked to the previous SAD management, the club faced a delicate moment both on and off the pitch. In a high-pressure and high-risk environment, Soares showed leadership, organization and strong technical competence, helping to stabilise the project and rebuild confidence within the squad.

Now, a new opportunity awaits him overseas. Soares will move to New York to join JP Soccer as Head Coach and Technical Coordinator. His role will focus not only on team management but also on developing the club’s technical structure and contributing to its national ambitions.

This move is another clear example of growing American investment in soccer, especially in international coaching profiles. For Soares, it represents both recognition of his work in Portugal and a strategic step toward a broader international career.
