She is only 45 but served as (1) head of the state for six years and (2) retired for three years……
To add a bit of seriousness to this, it’s widely believed part of the reason she’s moved is because of the rabid nutjobs who have constantly threatened her in NZ since her last year as PM.

Anyone not liking her on reddit gets called a cooker or must have something against women in power, but she ruined many people’s lives.
Property prices went up 20-30% then went back down where it was. This caused many home owners to lose equity, and many builders liquidate and doing a runner. People took out big loans to expand business or whatever, now they are all fucked.
200,000 migrants let in just over a year (which is crazy for a country of 5 million), everyone knows it was to pump GDP and cater cheap labour to big businesses.
You may have heard NZ went hard on covid because we lacked infrastructure. Many migrant nurses from SEA arrived for retraining, taking out big loans and paying big money for retraining/housing. But the jobs were never there, they were only here to fill the gaps just incase & PR.
So many, many migrants had to leave in debt, 130,000 net migrants a year to 13,000 in 2 or so years. crazy.
