How is this a hard choice?

They will never take the left path because they made supporting Trump their entire identity. If they take the left path that means all the thousands of “woke idiots” they insulted for the last decade who warned them about everything were all right. Right about all of it.

The MAGA morons weren’t conned once or twice but hundreds of times over the course of a decade and destroyed the country in the process. They spent a decade defending the indefensible, some lost relationships with friends and children. Most of them got absolutely nothing out of it, they are worse off in every possible way. The only upside was “owning the libs” and if they admit they were wrong they lose even that.

What likely will happen is 20 years from now it will be hard to find people who admit ever supporting Trump. They can’t have gotten conned if they never supported him to begin with. Checkmate Liberals.

  2. Some people’s egos are waaaaay to fragile to admit they are wrong. Especially if they’ve spent this long defending him.

  3. They were not “conned”. They joined up willingly. We saw this the last time americans jumped on their government bandwagon and invaded Iraq for BS lies. There was not a single right wing american left who supported that war 10 years later. They all were against that horrible act when it became socially unacceptable to have supported the war.

A lot of doomers are going to appear and bash MAGA.

But I will say I’ve started to see A LOT of people start to admit they were duped or wrong. It is happening more and more.

As much as it pains me to say, we need to be graceful with their admissions and not rub it in their faces like they’d do to us. Not because it’s the *right* thing to do, but because goading them into petty fights will distract from the more important mission of taking our country back… together.

  5. It was a well known fact that trump spoke publicly about his attraction to children before he was elected in 2016.  That was never a problem for the republicans.

  6. Ego.

They can’t admit they were wrong because then they’ll have to admit they were wrong about thousands of other things in their life.

Better to just not do anything until it directly affects them.

The face-eating-leopards will always be well-fed.

  7. They’re gonna do the middle path where they run right through the sign with “everything I don’t believe is a lie“

  8. “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

  9. lol if tucker carlson is a culinary legend then i’m gordon ramsay. these people gotta chill with their hero worship

  10. I think it’s supposed to be “Admit you were conned” or “Admit you are a pedophile”

  11. This is the biggest obstacle they can’t seem to get around. You don’t have to admit you were wrong. Just admit you were wronged.

Or there is nothing to admit, they are gladly a terrible person.

They’ll choose the one on the right easily, no hesitation. It’s not like they haven’t been voting for the people who keep child marriages legal in their states. They like it when they can sell their 13 year old daughter to a 40 year old man.

  13. wheredidyoustood on

Majority will go to the right. Most people can never bring themselves to admitting they were conned.

  14. Ummm…. He’s much more than a pedophile. Convicted felon, Rapist, traitor, deadbeat, fraud, thief, eats steak with ketchup

  15. Studies have absolutely shown that people with a conservative mindset have massive difficulty in changing opinions, and it becomes even worse when they are shown facts proving they were wrong. When confronted with fact contrary to dug in opinion, they double down on the error.

can’t believe how accurate this is, every time i see stuff like this i’m just like… yup that’s so relatable

You talking about years If not decades of grooming these people into what they are today. So, yeah it is difficult for them… They’re waking up slowly (?). I wouldn’t have said this a week ago but perhaps we need to be kinder and bring them around? I really don’t believe people like to be called Nazis or pedophile protectors… Or pedophiles themselves. The optics are clear tho if you support this regime, this satanic cult you are culpable and complacent. The easier pill to swallow is to accept you’ve been conned and move on.

  19. Can’t speak for the right path.

The left path is because it’s been proven that it’s next to impossible to talk someone out of a position they never talked themselves into to begin with.

I talked with someone about politics on roblox who was from the south somewhere and i wasnt in a debate with him, i just subtly acted dumb to make him feel smart to make it seem like he was teaching me instead of me teaching him. I was asking clarifying questions for instance, he mentioned really liking jd vance and trump and i said “oh..tell me about why you like them?” And he said “well, i dunno thats actually a really good question. Huh, yeah i dont actually know” and so i went “huh..maybe its good to know why i support someone i guess?” And he went “haha yeah i guess so”

Same with the concentration camps, he said “and you know, they say they are holding kids but theyre not. I mean they are but there are toys there.” And i went “oh wild theyre actually holding kids there?” (I know they are), and he said “i mean yeah i guess so but theyre releasing them i bet.” So i said “oh thats good, i mean how do you know theyre being released? That must be scary there alone without your family..” and he said “uh, well you know i dont actually know, but they gotta be releasing them but i dont actually know thats a good point”

CASE AND POINT SOME ARE JUST STRAIGHT UP UNEDUCATED AND NEED KINDNESS TO GUIDE THEM TO TRUTH IN A WAY WHERE THEY DONT FEEL ATTACKED

It’s because admitting they were conned means admitting they’re shitty bigots who were manipulated into voting for a pedo by exploiting their shitty bigoted, imperialistic aspirations which means they’re fucking losers that don’t deserve any respect or the pleasure of polite society.

  22. Lol, even admitting they were “conned” is ridiculous; because that gives the impression that tRump was able to hide what he was like and we all know that is a lie.

We all know that they voted for him, because they supported EVERYTHING that he did and said; but now they want to bail, since his actions are only now getting to be too much for them.

  23. Wild_Repair_5861 on

lol lol it’s wild how they’ll double down on anything just to avoid admitting they were wrong in the first place

  24. Ev3nt_Horiz0nn on

They won’t choose the right path because they have plausible deniability. “There’s no hard evidence!” They’d exclaim

  25. MinuteMaidMarian on

Where’s the next panel that shows them gleefully skipping down the right path while waving Nazi flags…?

  26. It’s not even a choice to those people.

OF COURSE they support the horrors they don’t have to see or deal with personally because it’s happening to someone else, over ADMITTING THEY WERE WRONG.

Admitting they were wrong is a personal admission of guilt that affects them directly, by DIRECTLY invalidating MOST of the political MAGA oriented personality they’ve developed over the last 2 decades.

They’d be back to being a gormless & boring fucking nobody, so they’d rather just incorporate pedophilia into their MAGA social norms, because now that daddy trump does it they all want to do it too.

To them, now, child rape is making America “great.”

bruh it’s like choosing between a rock and a hard place but the rock is on fire lol

lol classic reddit post, gotta love the randomness here. this place never disappoints with the wild content

  29. It’s far easier to con somebody, than it is to convince them that they’ve been conned.

When Michigan assembled a fund to compensate victims of Charles Ponzi after he was jailed, several held out in the hope that he would come good when he was released or simply didn’t want to lose face – despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary 🤷🏽
