I paid 40c on water in Sliema last week, being a tourist I thought the guy was just having a laugh.
I was pretty surprised when he I found out he wasn’t.
I kind of understand when smaller shops do that (even though hardly so), but Greens doing that is just beyond me! What the hell guys? Probably most “high end” supermarket on the island and such a backwards move

These practices make me boycott the shop. The convenience store does this too.
Can these sort of costs even be audited? Combined with rumors I’ve heard of these big chains being money laundering schemes one can’t help but wonder.
The only vote you have is with your wallet; just don’t buy. If cutomers, pay and buy these options, shops will know that this works, they get extra profits and suddently more iems start having extra charges.
LoL in italy chilled beverages cost about twice the normal one, so enjoy only spending extra cents for chilled ones
