The highly anticipated Serbia-Turkey clash in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers delivered drama until the final second.
After 40 minutes of intense battle, with Serbia clawing back from a double-digit deficit, it was Tarik Biberović who made the difference. Ergin Ataman’s side prevailed in the closing moments, recording a 78–82 win in Belgrade and preserving their perfect record in Group C.
Fenerbahce’s sharpshooter finished with 22 points, scoring crucial buckets down the stretch, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 77 seconds left and two decisive free throws with 44 seconds remaining.
Serbia had a chance to force overtime, but Ognjen Dobrić missed with 16 seconds left. Cedi Osman and Sehus Hazere then went to the free-throw line and sealed the win for the Turkish national team.
Osman followed Biberovic on the winning side with 16 points, while Omer Yurtseven added 14 points.
On the other side, Bogoljub Markovic had 19 points, Ognjen Dobric chipped in 17, while Stefan Miljenovic added 10.
