JONAS LOVV will perform YA YA YA for Norway in Vienna

We were off to HÃ¥kons Hall in Lillehammer (the same venue that hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004!) on Saturday 28 February, as Markus Neby, Marte Stokstad and Ronny Brede Aase guided us through the 2026 edition of Norway’s long-running Eurovision pre-selection Melodi Grand Prix.

Nine artists took part in MGP 2026, with both an international jury and a vote from the Norwegian public deciding the winner.

It was a clear winner on both sides – YA YA YA is the song that will represent Norway in Vienna. It scored a total of 265, triumphing over the entry in second place (Rise by Alexander Rybak) on 192 points and in third place (Northern Lights by emma) on 127 points.

JONAS LOVV will perform YA YA YA in the Second Half of the Second Semi-Final on Thursday 14 May.
