the greens almost always get it, and then they say something insanely stupid proving they have no idea.

you cant make the brisbane river swimmable because it’s a natural and native breeding ground for bullsharks. to make it swimmable you have to eradicate and then inhumanely block the sharks from the river. there’s a pretty substantial bullshark population in the river and the rivers that offshoot the brisbane river.

and that seems contradictorary to greens policy.

every single time they miss it by this >.< much

This is a great idea and there is precedent for getting public housing from the Olympic Games, even in Australia.

The 1956 games in Melbourne saw the building of an athletes village on the northern edge of the city. Following the games conclusion, it was handed over to the Vic housing commission to be managed as public housing. [Its still public housing today](https://urbanitarian.com/masterplans_post?id=660), 70 years later.

  3. It’s a tidal river you peanut. There’ll forever be bull sharks in it because of that. Nobody will ever swim in it……

  4. One Nation voter here. I support this. The Games must be treated as an opportunity to improve our public transportation capabilities and infrastructure.

We have more in common than we do differences.

If they cared about anything they said they did (the greens) they stop voting progress towards their goals down. But they need their problems not to be fixed so they have something to campaign for. I used to support the greens but their voting record is terrible.

Apart from swimming in the river, it isn’t the worst proposal, but we would be naive to think that hosting the Olympics has been beneficial to the people in general in recent memory.

I mean, we are hosting them in June, because it is more beneficial to the American sports market as opposed to Spring, which is the most beneficial to Australia itself.
