Dubai being number 4 sort of makes the whole thing lose any credibility

List seems to have been compiled by someone who never visited the relevant cities! Tianjin? Perth? Milwaukee? Bangkok?

further proof all these “best in the world” lists are always bs

  4. The only list Dubai belongs on is biggest shitholes or most populated by fuckwits

  5. What a rubbish ranking- places like Singapore, Shanghai and Sydney ought to be higher on the list than Perth.

  6. In other news, Sydney is ranked top in the “top 10 skylines not counting the first 6”

‘And the Sydney Sky is rainless and sings off key, but its cool in a weird way that i wish i could be’

  8. I loved Perth when I went, but the skyline is not what I think about when I think of Perth.

    Dubai, Perth and Tokyo, GTFO.

I love Tokyo but there’s absolutely nothing special about its skyline. Not been to Chicago.

  10. perth over sydney? and Singapore having a decent skyline? 🤔 they’ve got one interesting building and some low stuff

  11. For those bagging Perth, hope you’ve seen it in person?

Having been to 7 out of 17, I’d rate Perth pretty highly. The view from Kings Park is quite something. And used to be even better before the ugly BHP tower. There’s a calmness to it and shows that you don’t need volume. It’s not grand, not trying to out do other cities in a measuring contest. It’s quite a serene skyline.

Sydney is better but Sydney doesn’t have a kings park style vantage point either.

    Just my personal view. 🙂

Hot take: the most beautiful skylines in the world do not have buildings in them.

“We crammed as many people as possible into this concrete nightmare. Beautiful, right?”
